Website Design and Maintenance
Bushings Inc is a manufacture of rubber insulated bushings and marine/industrial engine mounts. They came to me wanting to redesign their website to modernize the look. The one thing they didn’t want to change was the traffic they were receivng on engine model to mount cross reference page. It was their sites most visited page both through generic searches and referrals from internal and external sales people so they wanted it easy to find. They also wanted to retain their existing copy and images, with maybe some tweaks here and there.
I immediately fell in love with their logo. Its timeless simplicity was the inspiration for the site. A clean design, lots of white space and a limited colour palette were the result. I also wanted to make the new site easier to navigate and quickly find information. To do so, on pages with large amounts text I utilized collapsing panels to keep scroll lengths short. Intuitive and well placed inlinks and call to actions were also used to aid in moving customers through the site quickly so everything they could need is at their finger tips.
